Bay boats are increasingly popular in many coastal areas, especially along the Gulf Coast. This is mainly due to the fact that the design is great for salt water or fresh water fishing as well as many other boating activities.
Bay boats usually range between 18 and 27 feet in length, and have lower gunwales than boats designed to handle bigger seas. Bay boats generally have a low draft, due to a shallow V in the hull design. This allows the bay boat to get into the most secluded fishing spots and still run in the open waters.
Our custom built bay boats and fishing boats are a unique bread. With a much larger hull than our signature custom jon boats, the Uncle J Custom Bay Boat is in a class of its own. The center console design allows for maximum space in the bow area. As a result, the front deck has enough square footage for multiple people to fish from.
